7 tips to stay on your workout program from the Atlanta Personal trainer

More than 75 percent of first-time exercisers drop out after the first six weeks of Fitness training.
Unfortunately, exercise doesn't simply happen-you have to put yourself into it. And if your boss
or your boyfriend hold more sway over your time than your own needs, try to readjust the
balance. Here are 10 tips to help make a fitness lifestyle stick.
1. Do it for you. Why do you want to get fit? Whether you're safeguarding your health, reducing
stress or shedding a few pounds, your reason for exercising should stem from your desires, not
someone else's. Making exercise a part of your life isn't a matter of willpower, but of doing
something that's important to you.
2. Keep your fitness goals in sight. Don't expect overnight success. Write down moderately
challenging goals that will give you the chance to revel in your accomplishments. A short-term
goal might consist of walking for 20 minutes three times a week, or making it all the way through
a low-impact class. A six-month goal might be losing a specific amount of weight or competing
in a 5K, say The Atlanta Peachtree Road Race which is Just under 2 months away on July 4th. As you achieve each goal, set new ones.
3. Make exercise a given part of your dailey Routine. Don't let excuses sideline your efforts. Schedule your workouts
on your calendar as if they're important meetings. Make them at the same
times and on the same days every week so that they become part of your routine.
4. Give yourself credit. When you reach a goal, treat yourself to a shopping spree, a night
at the movies, or some new exercise wear. You deserve a reward.
5. Don't punish yourself. If you miss a workout or a whole week of workouts, simply refocus
and make fitness a priority again. A good way to get back into it is to just do something for 10 minutes.
6. Consider a certified personal trainer. Even if it's for a short time to build you a program, a qualified fitness, maybe join a Boot camp fitness class, they are starting up all the time, We do one with fitness with Jeff or come out to one of my Cardio tennis classes
professional can help develop a regimen specific to your needs.
7. Climb out of those ruts. Work out at different times, check out a new class or piece of equipment, cross-train, take a hike, try a new sport, take advantage of the club's saunaor whirlpool.

Fitness equipment and the expertise to build your own gym: Play it again Sports Atlanta

Hello Atlanta personal training group: Build you own home gym and equip it with right wieghts and exercise machines. You have decided to chuck the Gold's Gym and LA membership and want to train at home. People all the time ask me to assist them with everything from to just adding a couple of items for exercise to buiilding a home or condo complex, appartment gym. For a person who just wants to go bar bones, gym I recommend dumbell free wieghts, a set can run something over $100, this will give u a pretty good start for you home gym. Next step would be to ad some exercise machines, ie leg extension machine, leg curl, lat press, tricep pull downs etc. Another option is to add aerobic equimpent such as Tread Mills, Elipitical exerciser and maybe a exercise bike. The shop that I recommend to work with is: Play it again sports at 4279 Roswell Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30342 Ph:(404) 257-0229, I have worked with them many times on building home gyms, Condo and appartment gyms for my clients. Bill Barney the owner and John are very knowledgeable about all aspects of sports equipment sales and repair and installation. They also sell hockey to basesball equipment. If you mention http://www.fitnesswithjeff.com he will take 10% of your entire purchase.

Top 5 personal training tips

Hello Atlanta Fitness group I found this article on this site and thought you might be interested and was reprinted from happy guy.com . http://www.thehappyguy.com
Top Fitness Tips...
...according to Atlanta Personal Trainer Corey Ritter
by Corey Ritter

Atlanta personal trainer, to provide his top five fitness tips for increased energy and reduced stress to share with my Daily Dose of Happiness readers. Here is what we shared with the readership...

Atlanta Personal Trainer Fitness Tip #1:

Eat lean protein every three hours! Proteins main function: Help build and maintain healthy muscle. Which in-turn will help increase your metabolic rate to assist in burning body fat. Good sources: Egg Whites, Chicken Breast, Sirloin Lean Steak, Lean Ground Turkey, Fresh Fish, Protein Shakes.

Atlanta Personal Trainer Fitness Tip #2:

Walk around the block. There are many benefits to be gained from walking. These can include more energy, deeper and more satisfying sleep, stronger leg muscles, lower body fat, higher metabolic rate, and reduce stress! Everyday for 20-30 minutes at a brisk walk. Preferably first thing in the morning!

Personal Trainer Fitness Tip #3:

Stretch, Stretch, Stretch. Anytime, but at least once a day one week before the wedding. Increases flexibility, reduces stress, improve coordination, increase circulation and it feels good, just to name a few benefits. Hold each stretch for a minimum of 10-30 seconds, repeat 2-3 times.

Atlanta Personal Trainer Fitness Tip #4:

Avoid simple carbs! Their rapid absorption increases the chances of sugar converting to fat! Stay away from foods like: Bagels, pies, cakes, potato chips, many ready-to-eat cereals, white pasta, white bread, juice drinks with added sugar, alcohol, candy, soda pop, and syrup!

Atlanta Personal Trainer Fitness Tip #5:

Drink plenty of fresh, clean water. Yes, I know that you have probably heard this one over and over again. But there's a reason for that - it's that important! It aids in fat loss, detoxifies the liver & kidneys, & carries away waste from the body. It's recommended for best results to consume 8 10-ounce glasses of water per day.
