Boot Camps, fitness training, Atlanta

Fitness with Jeff Also does boot camps, you can join one of mine or you start your own group and I can come to you in your neighborhood or Complex or work. These group do boot camp style activities, really in my opinion the best way to get into and stay in the best shape possible. Also a big believer in Muscle confusion exercise we will start with 10-15 minutes of Stretching and Abs and core work. We will then do some light cardio i.e., jumping jacks, jump rope, mountain climbers, lunges, polymeric jumps etc 5-10 minutes. We will do weight barring exercises wall pushups, lunges with bicep curls, tricep dips, leg extension, walk, run using our park and the hill. We will go between weight barring exercise and cardio for the remainder of time Last 5 10 minutes more abs and core and final stretch and warm down. I can bring some hand weights but would encourage the group to bring 3 and 5 lbs weights, a mat if you have one, a towel and water Other exercises we may work in if you like: basketball layup lines, this can be done with or without a basketball, As we get better and build up add some endurance exercises, some sprint cardio drills. We could even work in a cardio tennis workout Yoga and palates exercises We will start out slowly and progressively buildup. I will greatly encourage input from the group We are available to come your facility and give you a true boot camp style workout, Lets get started today. Also available for Cardio tennis with a bootcamp style workout. Fitness with Jeff is a full service, certified personal trainer, and Tennis Coach, Our area of operations is Buckhead, Midtown, Buckhead, to perimeter mall, Windy hill into The Smynings of Atlanta GA. Jeff also does these other services, Running Walking (jogging partner) Dog running,Swimming Racketball Basketball Baseball Dogdeball Kickball Aerobics Biking and Spinning (bycle exercise)

Behind the back lat pull downs, Pro and Con

Hello Atlanta fitness group, a fellow by the name of Joe replyed to one of my Blogs saying that as a standard rule that Behind the back lat pulldowns are not good for you. Which of course if not done correctly or done with someone with a injury or with to much wieght or without experience or not under supervision of a personal trainer or numerous other reasons can be harmful. This was my response to his query. Always enjoy other peoples thoughts, we all learn together.

Behind the back lat pulldowns are bad for the rotator cuff. How can you teach them? Doing core before the full body weight training is unsafe- It weakens your core! Then doing weights puts you in a stress position with a weak core??? Please give your reasons. Thanks, J

Everything can potentially be bad for something, it is a imperfect world, I say may times within my blog consider your situation, medical history and consult and doc or fitness pro prior to starting any fitness program. I also say start slowly and buildup. for my individual clients I work a fair amount of shoulder work so that the Rotator can handle the work. Monday Fitness Bootcamp Group starting April 13 at 6:30
